18 MAY / STRAY SIGNALS @ WEST GERMANY, SKALITZER STR 133, BERLIN

Ft. APERTURE, MAMA MATRIX & DRE ROELANDT

*APERTURE*  - https://aperture.bandcamp.com/album/stanze/
A project by siblings Elisabetta and Emanuele Porcinai, thought as a fusion of Emanuele's practice as a musician and Elisabetta’s use of the spoken word and poetry as complementary element to her work as a visual artist. They’ll be joined by  boniface on electronics and bass.

Stanze is Aperture’s second album, released on Stray Signals. This will be the debut performance!
“Their music explores tension between hushed intimate spoken vocals and singing amidst detailed soundscapes of guitars, bass and percussion soaked in electronically derived detailing, working with a reduced brittle instrumentation … a music that sounds as afloat as it evokes walking-on-eggshells in a very quiet room. A somnambulant atmosphere which seems to teeter as if it could explode and shatter at any moment, but doesn’t.” — Dean Roberts

*MAMA MATRIX* - https://www.instagram.com/mama__matrix/
Mama Matrix is the partial merging of the technologically transformed human world with the Archaic matrix of vegetable intelligence that is the Transcendent Other.
Mama’s works are associated with the body and the basic elements of nature. Her rituals are formed through voice, bowls, water, flowers, light, crystals, amplification, electronics and ceremonial performance.

*DRE ROELANDT* - https://www.instagram.com/data.bitch/
Alongside creating artworks for some of our favourite musics to come out of Berlin, Dre makes squidgy and immersive prints that draw you further and further until infinity. They will be exhibiting their prints within the niches of West Germany throughout the duration of the event.

Doors from 19:00, performances start at 20:00.
€10-15 on the door. If you’re struggling financially write us at straysignalsBLN@gmail.com and we’ll figure something out
